Iranian craftsmen in the Eastern region of the country made much use of colored glaze in pottery-Floral motifs accompanying birds and other animals in elaborate hunting scenes reminiscent of the sassanian era bear witness to their skill . The objects were either done in a repousse technique or in low relief under a glaze. The Neishabur craftsmen,while depicting the traditional group scenes of the sassanians. Used their pens as magic wands to transform the surfaces of the pottery through color or black and white Forms.
