Sadaf Hall
Clay works bearing inscriptions and decorative glass works belonging to the early days of the Islamic era are on display at this hall. The city of Neyshabour was one of the most important cultural-artistic centers in the era of the Islamic civilization and masters of clay works and calligraphers of that period who were inspired by the sublime Islamic teachings and the Holy Quran created admiring masterpieces in Kufi manuscripts. Outstanding changes were made in glass works of that period and a new method was invented in which deep cuts were applied on glass pots in order to create fascinating designs. Painting on glass became a prevalent practice since the 4th century Hegira and this was a prelude to the production of enameled works.
